Looking at picking up a used F250 and wanted to read up on them a little more. Anyone have any good sites?
Also any years to avoid in particular? I'm looking at a lot of 05/06's.
thanks Nate

2003s are 7.3.
Mine has been vibrating lately from speeds of 35-25 normally more around 30mph. Just had the tires balanced and i rotated them so not sure what it is Only does it in deceleration with or without braking, with or without being in neutral [ March 16, 2012, 12:04 AM: Message edited by: WildFire532FB ]

you can switch the grille from a 05 to anything from 99-04. my friend has one on a 2000 7.3 and my dad has one on his 04.

If you get a 6.0, just go into it knowing that you will likely have to do the Bulletproof diesel conversion at some point, injectors, ICP and a FICM. There will be other things, but once you spend 5-8k, it'll be a reliable truck, kinda

ball joints are brand new so i don't know what it could be, going to have my driveshaft checked out later tonight. Brand new bearings in my driveshaft too pretty much, i replaced everything when i bought the truck.

hey dana not ignoring you im on your ban list now. As for the post, my work has a whole fleet of ford diesel powered rigs that are pushed hard daily 24/7. 6.0 are junk, takes a ton of money to get them to run right, 6.4 are also problematic. id stick with 7.3 or new 6.7. our fleet manager told me and i quote, do not fucking buy a 6.0 unless they give it to you. was at orangevale diesel the other day, to do head studs, egr cooler, head gaskets, was 3k! i just got my 2001 with 63k on the clock for 19800 in utah.

Plus don't you have to take the cab off to do the head studs?
