so short story..am trying to sue child support services for wrongfully putting a hold on my license.as a result of that my car got impounded and i have lost days at work since i drive for a living...any body know where i can get some free legal advice?

if im not correct, they have the power to do so if you owe them back child support. Did they give you any notice before doing this? if not maybe you got something, sucks to hear they fucked you like this, them fuckers got no love for the pops, its all about the mommy to them, from my experience.......

we closed the case back in june..and i owe them nothing..i guess the hold was place in june but never notify me about it so i never knew and never got pulled over till since then til about a week ago. so i called them and the case worker was blaming the computer for doing it and so i stated that the computer cant type all my info by itself after that she said she didnt know who did it

That sucks man. You need to make a appointment and talk with a case worker at the child support office. My wife works for the Alameda DA child support division for the past 15 years. Don't mess with them, they can straight ruin your life. I have seen & heard it all. Not out of spite, they just have the rite. If you PM me a case number I might be able to get some info for you. I just talked to my wife and she said if in your last 12 months of planned payments, if you missed 3 months they will automatically suspend your license. No question and no notice needed. They can also levy bank accounts & put a lien on your home, suspend passports as well. It doesn't have to be 3 months in a row either. She said this is the #1 reason of suspension. She also said it is next to impossible to "sue child support" or everybody would be doing it. Not saying that it isn't possible but it will cost you more money in the long run.

seems like impossible is what it looks like cus i called about 8 lawyers and they all say the same "long process and no guranteed to win cus its the states money your trying to take"..all bad

Not related but similar. I won a speeding ticket case and was refunded etc. Thought nothing else of it. Called my insurance 6 months later for a quote on an 03 cobra. "well seeing you only have one point...." I was like um no! Went to the court and they said "oh well it never got sent to DMV" WTF my rates were raised and I never noticed it and they said they can't compensate me even though it was their error. Trust us, those are words to live by! I'd trade places with you in a second, I have many more years of this shit to deal with. They have taken or tried to take my license 5 times now, once my boss paid my support 2 days EARLY and they suspended it...... Placer county is Satan. I lost my chance to get into a correctional officer job because of them. You can go talk to them but they won't refund or do anything for you. You can get a letter saying it was wrongly suspended and get the charges and fines dropped but that's it. Good luck.
