So I found out what trucking school.im going to.. They find you a job prior to signing up for school.. The problem is they are regional or long haul jobs.. Thats cool and all, and ill take it if thats my last resort.. My question is, what truckig company will hire a recent graduate right out of school?? I dnt really mind being gone 2or 3days at a time.. Nut I would rather be home every night.. Thanks in advance cafords! [patriot]

well for one if its regional which wont happen thats some shit people say to make it sound better they give those jobs to more experienced drivers having a regional route is like a promotion. and two 3 days? yea right try 3-4 weeks out then home for 3 then back out. companies that hire grads right away its all long haul
werner (wiener)
schnieder (sphincter)
swift backwards (two fags in a white semi)
covenant
usa truck
england
theres more but if you go with swift you pray that your trainer does dollar tree routes its home on the weekends. good luck

What trucking school are you going 2?. Like said already that's a bunch of b.s. Your usually gone 2-3 weeks(or more) running 48states, I know that because I was going through the same thing last year, I'd really look into with what companies the school deals with and go online and read how there training process goes with recent graduates from trucking school. Schools don't always say the whole details they just want the money. [patriot]

the only way youll find something local is if you know someone. they all want 2 years experience minimum. schools tell you that bs to make it sound better to pay for the course. i bet the school will have a guy from covenant come speak its all bs. $54 a day while training ooo thats hella good and that allllllll daaaaayyyy. drive 9-11 hours a day and make $54 and then have to be stuck in the truck. im not telling you not to do it but dont expect a local job to just fall in your lap cuz you have a class a. even once you are done training its like 34 cents a mile with an average of 2000-3000 miles a week solo. thats $1000 a week minus food everyday minus laundry once a week minus showers if you dont get a driver card minus the hooker you get at the truck stop. minus all the taxes we have so say at best $650-750 take home for 7 days. and thats hoping you dont get stuck at a terminal for two days it happens or stuck in a shitty town for two days it happens. if the wheels aint moving money and flowin
