I saw Turbo50 and Catfish posts about people not understanding what's for sale and calling at 4am. Buyers are crazy these days, I have one guy that calls me every week, offering half of what I want for something, and somehow forgets he called me the week before. I also get people calling me at 1am also, I just learned to turn off the the ringer at night. I know it's hard time but why do people offer to trade their stuff for mine? If its worth the same as what I am selling, then sell it and then buy my stuff. I get 20+ calls a day, why do people need to see pics on a $10- $20 part before they decide to buy it. If did that I wouldn't get any work done. Another crazy thing I don't understand is people don't seem to understand is it cost to go fast. They complain it cost too much to play but they will send their money on weed. Shit if they are going to smoke it, they might as well sell it and get their money that way.

I'll see your idiots and i'll raise you mine lol, Friday night I get a text regarding a Craigslist ad at 1:30 AM about a car part, the text says "was gud with them springs?" I reply with um yes they are very good and I want $20 bucks for them. Craigslist buyer responds with "Coo I'm gonna make some money tonight I'll hit you Up." LOL It's now Tuesday and no call back maybe his late night money making venture fell through LOL

That's why I don't put my phone number in any ad. I can bypass 90% of the bullshit by doing that, you can always delete an email and never deal with that asshole.

My biggest thing is taking pictures on small items. It's just a waste if time. I don't respond. And people the low ball I just laugh in their face.

Lee I agree with what you are saying.
You should try out "Google Voice." It's a service that lets you screen callers, and you pick which phones that you own ring at what times.
The pics on small items is something I have to disagree with however. I have been burned sooooo many times trusting people only to come out and see damaged or badly worn parts. If I know the person, I won't ask, but if not, I insist on a pic every time ![[Cool]](cool.gif)

Yeah LOW offers are out of control, I know I'm not getting retail or selling new stuff but damn! I hate the traders more then anything though I always put NO TRADES in my ad and I still end up with a ton of trade offers.

I don't mind posting my number, thats part of the business. I just have a lot of bigger jobs I need to get done and these BS calls and text are getting crazy. Another weird question I get a lot, when people first call me on the phone, "Do you speak Spanish?". I am Mexican but damn, these people need learn to speak English. Shit when I go to Mexico, the locals get pissed if you don't know Spanish.

Is crazy, I do car audio instalations on the side and advertise on CL.
I get people that claim they can do the work themself but no time, so & so & so.. they expect you to do a 4-6 hour job in 1-2 hrs. Some even say is not that hard anybody can do it.
All I tell them my prices are firm, it takes time to get it done right and I rather have plenty of time unless you want me to break or damage your car..
