Jay...here are the the spring rates for all the common H&R springs:
H&R Sport Springs= Front: 490-575 lb/in, Rear: 250-285 lb/in H&R Super Sport Springs= Front: 700-760 lb/in, Rear: 275-300 lb/in H&R Race Springs= Front: 750-850 lb/in, Rear: 260-280 lb/in H&R Super Race Springs= Front: 950-1050 lb/in, Rear: 260-300 lb/in Which Maximum Motorsport springs are you currently running? Do you know the spring rate? The softest front spring I've ran was the RACE spring but I've never ran it on the track. I personally wouldnt go anything softer than the H&R Race for "performance" driving. You want to be as stiff as possible to keep your car from nose/ass diving.
If the ride height is the main concern here, just go with coilovers and adjust the height as you please [ October 18, 2011, 08:08 AM: Message edited by: SydeWaySix ]

Thank that helps.
My Maximum's are rated at 650/750 Front 280/380 rear. [ October 18, 2011, 08:35 AM: Message edited by: SnakeBit ]

As mentioned above, anything short of the H&R RACE springs will exhibit obvious limitations with any serious driving.
I have H&R SS springs in my 96 Cobra and they are fine on the street, but when I push it hard around the corners, they aren't as stiff as I'd like them to be. But alas it is a street car and I am willing to make that compromise.
I had a 94GT with H&R RACE Springs and Koni Reds and it handled fantastic... ride quality, not so much, lol.

I know it isn't the same car but I run H&R race and would never think of going back to anything else.

Agreed. I've got H&R SS springs and Koni Yellow shocks/strurs on my 98 Cobra and they are fine for the street, but not stiff enough for serious driving.

Thanks for your input guys. I just got done submitting another order to MM. I went ahead and got the H&R race springs. They should be here by the end of this week. I'll be throwing these on next weekend along with my MM panhard bar "welded", Taylor battery relocaion kit and some new rubber up front. and finish all that up with a track allignment over at Roger Krause Racing. I'll post up some pics when I'm done. Anybody have pics of their car on H&R race springs that I can see? http://www.maximummotorsports.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=514_22_107_254&products_id=753 [ October 22, 2011, 12:52 PM: Message edited by: SnakeBit ]

Here are some pics of H&R Race/Super Race springs:
My old 95 cobra with H&R Race (front) and H&R Super Race (rear)...
My Faleen with H&R Race (front) and Maier Racing (rear) that had equivalent drop and spring rate as H&R Race springs...
My Faleen with H&R Race (front) with one full coil cut-off and Maier Racing (rear)...

My car sat way high in the front with the H&R Race Springs (they have a reputation for it). I cut 1/2 coil and it looked great.
Looks like Ian cut a full coil and plopped his K-member on the asphalt, LOL.

I run the race springs on my '93 notch and love them. I left them stock length as I already have issues with my long tubes rubbing on speed bumps.
