Anybody order the stuff from 50resto.com? I'm trying to re paint the trim on my 5.0. Is there any off the shelf stuff that's close that anybody has used? Just trying to clean it up a bit, and I'm impatient to wait on shipping, but will if there's no suggestions Thanks

How did ya do it?
Did you just tape it off? Also what kinda prep did ya do?
I'm thinking of doing this. Makes a huge difference. Especially the mirrior's and window trim too.

ok so this is how i did it
1.i washed it with soap and water
2.i scuffed it
3.i hit it with a lite coat of adhesion promoter so the paint would stick real good
4.i sprayed 2 coats of the trim paint
and i took off the front and rear bumper and the other moldings i sprayed on the car in a garage

You will spend more time masking off the car than the time it takes to paint the mouldings/trim! LOL!
Go to any paint supply store and get a roll of masking paper that has tape on one end, well worth the cost. Buy a couple rolls of 1/2-1" masking tape as well. I mask off basically the ENTIRE CAR!, EVERYTHING that isn't to be painted. It takes time but well worth it in the end. It is inevitable that you will have some kind overspray but it cleans up easily with acetone or paint thinner/reducer. I do 2-3 medium coats and it turns out perfect. Let it setup for an hour or so and peel the paper away!

SEM got my vote. I used it on my mirror covers and the door trim. It holds up very well.
