Hey guys, I'm doing a little research on tires and I want to gain a little insight into the consumer's mind when it comes to buying performance tires. Your feedback as car enthusiasts will help me tremendously.
Let's say it's time to buy new tires for your mustang:
1. What are the top 3 tire manufactures that you will consider buying for your car?
2. List these attributes in the order that you think is most important to least important when deciding on how to buy tires. - price - performance - tire life - tire manufacture's reputation - * please add anything else you think should be on this list
3. Do you prefer to deal with local shops or order tires online?
4. How and where did you buy your last set of tires?
5. Have you bought used tires in the past and will you buy used tires again?
6. If you had to buy tires today, where is the first place you would consider buying your tires from?
Thanks for your time guys and I appreciate any feedback you can give me.

1. I think the top 3 would be:
A. BF Good's B. Pirelli C. Yokahama
2. This is hard one to answer, as it depends. Will this be solely a street car, or are these weekend track tires?
3. Order tires online, then have them mounted
4. Ordered online from TireRack.com
5. No and never will, unless its slicks/drag radial's
6. TireRack.com

Check out the Sumitomo HTR Z III. Awesome tire and good prices. Lots of good reviews on them too from people that drive performance cars. I have them on my Porsche and they are the best tire I have had on there next to the Pirelli PZero Rosso's. The pirelli's only lasted 8,000 miles and cost $300 each while the Sumitomos are a little over $100 each and last 25-30k miles. I also had the BF Goodrich GFORCE Sports but they always seemed to give the car a hard ride. The sumitomo is a little bit softer. The tire compound of the sumitomo is a good compromise between wear and handling. I get my tires of tirerack and them have a local tire shop put them on.

the best response yet! BUT BGF and Nitto...ftw
vin- best street tire is the bfg g force kdw 2....hands down best life and performance... they are a bit pricey but the next in line would be the nitto invo tire... they perform great and last a long time and are one of the cheapest performance tires out!
as for drag radial...mickey thompson DRs are hand down the best with the new nitto NT05r coming in right by them..i have personally ran all these tires and they are the BEST!
