Ok, so I'm on the fence (again) with what i want. I love both cars and both have their pros/cons, but let me know what you guys think so maybe I can be "cafords cool" if i pick the right one
Bullitt PROS: limited production car, simple and aggressive look, very nice interior
Bullitt CONS: 2v...
Cobra PROS: 32v, sn95 body style, can get 300rwhp with bolt-ons and tune
Cobra CONS: most have more than 100k miles, 32v is harder to work on, they are a dime a dozen, most of them have interior that is worn out

haha...yea thats the only thing holding me back. Although right now, I'm not too into having a fast ass car, but something that can get up well enough to get me by and be sexy at the same time

I have always liked the simple aggressive look of the Bullitt, They are both nice cars, But you might want to think about which car has the better resale value

32v isn't harder to work on...you can buy all the same s/c kits for it.
aren't bullits pulling in around 10-12k still?
a 10k 96-01 cobra would be the better bet IMO.

lol, Bullitt was always one of those cars that I considered an "underachiever"
Cool Wheels? No Cool Color? No Cool Engine? No
But you get a nice decklid & retro seats! You can drive it out to SF and pretend you are Steve Mcqueen for a day. That's worth something right? Well, not to me it's not, but to some people!

Its hard to choose. On one hand, I love the lines of the Bullitt, with the smooth rockers, sidescoop deletes, agressive C pillars, & DHG is a sweet color. But on the other hand, 96-98 Cobra's have a timeless sleek, but agressive look to them, & of course the 32V.
It will be easier to find a Bullitt with lower miles, & in overall better shape, but I think the Bullitt will have the larger price tag. SN95 Cobra's are pretty easy to find, but usually they are showing their age, especially the interior. Out of all the SN95's I have ever owned, the leather left much to be desired. it always cracks, even if taken care of... [ June 01, 2010, 11:43 PM: Message edited by: EPIK ]

yea, definitely a hard choice! They both have their ups and downs and I "think" I'd enjoy either one for a while A DHG Bullitt with a couple exterior mods is tits as is (mach 1 chin, Mach 1 grill delete, and DD anthracite Bullitt wheels)
Yet, a cobra with gears and better airflow (exhaust, CAI, LT's) makes for a fun car to mess around in on the streets...
Damn, I hate being so indecisive

A supercharger will take care of the 2V issue, and I get tons of compliments on the paint... DHG FTW!
The stock Bullitt intake is good for 35HP over a standard GT intake when supercharged...

I'd go with a Bullitt and add a SC. They're not as fancy besides the color and intake, but you don't see them as often. [ June 02, 2010, 01:15 AM: Message edited by: Rigo5.0 ]

Bullitt
Cams and longtubes takes care of the whole tail light issue that Luke speaks of
If you have big plans, don't go 2v unless you throw stronger internals and better heads at it... [ June 02, 2010, 01:20 AM: Message edited by: Chris83179 ]

Oh and there is one main con of owning a Bullitt, It doesn't get jocked like an 03-04 Cobra...

Yup...the fronts have a 1" DD and the rears have a 3" DD. I had the same setup in black on my white cobra if you remember it from the Marsh Creek cruise last year.

Keep the opinions coming! So what if the bullitt had all the exterior mods already (as shown in the above pic) and what if the cobra had a Saleen kit on it and gears already...
Both would be pretty much "done" as far as making it the way I'd want to. Which one would be a better deal of they had about the same miles and se price?
