today i worked in stockton wal mart pharmacy and i seen a bum with a dog. dog was hella skinny and looked cold. i think there should bee a law about this. if you cant feed your self u should not have kids or pets. that just hit me kinda hard because i love pets.

Yea i have seen a few homeless in san jose walking dogs around with them and I agree they should NOT be allowed to have them. There's no way they've taken them to get the proper shots they are supposed to have or get them fixed.

on the flip side, imagine your homeless you ain't got shit in your life, no home, no cloths, no family, but your only companion is...your dog. now imagine some rightious prick tring to take him away because HE dosen't feel its right for you to have a dog, now thats fucked up. +1 and the homeless people in my area usually take good care of their animals. They look clean and better fed then the homeless guy himself

it is sad, but the homeless guy we have by the wal mart here in Tracy always feeds his dog first when people give him food, and one of my friends bought him a huge bag of dog food for him... i doubt this is the norm for all homeless though..

Just to add to this;
Just where would you put this homeless mans dog once your law took it away from him? In a shelter? In the pound? Basically, on the fast track to being euthanized.
Leave the man and his dog alone.
If you really want to do something to help the dog out why don't you grab a small bag of dog food on your way out of Walmart and give it to the guy on your way out?

^+1 on what he said. But sometimes when you try and do nice things it blows up in your face. Once I had tried to give a homeless man a bag of groceries and he threw it back cause he wanted the money! We have this one homeless guy in our area who is at least honest and holds a sign saying he wants money for beer.....

If you really think about it. Theres folks out there that are NOT homeless that earn decent money and still DONT take care of there pets.

Thank you!! Now that's real talk right there, you have to think "outside" the box. Put yourself in their shoes.. If you think this is messed up, then take a trip out in the world, you will see dogs get shot, beaten, burned, abused for crossing someones backyards/frontyards.
Over here, i seen homeless folks take good care of their companions/pets.
