rebuild kit i got from hanlon motorsports was like 175 an was 200 to rebuild it that was with out replace any gears an i pulled the transmission so about 400 bucks for straight up overhaul no hardparts replaced

I bought a rebuild kit (bearings, rings, etc) and rebuilt my TKO myself without too much trouble. Plus it's kind of interesting to learn what's actually going on inside the transmission anyway ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

so how bad does the tranny have to be to replac gears?..mine doesnt grind anything jus a little whine from 3rd which is prolly a bearing

when the syncros go out and start scratching in every gear!lol my old vert 2nd syncro started sracthing and left it like that for a year and finally replaced it.
i say replace it when it gets stuck in a gear and cant take it outta nutrel!!!!!!!!!! thats when its time to replace it.lol
