A. It should be black
B. It should have a turbo

Beyond that i don't really know, look around online im sure you can find a website about it, they had some styling differences as well from the t-types. From what i can remember They had a different hood badging and interior as well as a different set of wheels.

No those were T-types or Turbo T's

The VIN Should Identify if it indeed is a Grand National. T-types will VIN out a Regal with a 3.8 Turbo.

Also you can go to www.turbobuicks.com to decifer the VIN and for more info as there is a registry for them.

EDIT Some T-Types were also referred to as a WE4. They are similar to theGrand National also were all Black but had different wheels and Chrome Bumpers

There should be a serialized GNX plaque above the glove box that is very distinctive. THey were not "supposed" to be sold to the public kind of like the mystichrome paint.

"The interior changes of the GNX included a serial number on the dash plaque and a revised instrument cluster providing analog Stewart-Warner gauges, including an analog turbo boost gauge."

Also fender badges, flares, lots of other details.

Well that's for a GNX. I don't think this dude is in the market for one of those unless he has $80 grand!

There are no white Grand Nationals, but the some of the Turbo T's came in white and a lot of people will powder coat the bumpers and trims black.

acctually,
Though they looked like high-performance machines, the first Grand Nationals began life as stodgy Regal coupes that were plucked from the assembly line in Pontiac, Michigan. In batches of fifteen, they were trucked down the road to Cars and Concepts in Ann Arbor, where the cars were disassembled and underwent the conversion process. The sides of the Regals were masked off and sprayed in a silver two-tone. A front air dam was fitted underneath the Buick's chrome bumper, and a rear duckbill was stuck onto the trunklid's trailing edge. Bolstered seats from GM supplier Lear Siegler replaced the standard velour park bench, and Buick's "Power 6" badges found their way onto the fenders and wheel centers.
