I like it, but at that price I'm still leaning towards picking up a Pontiac G8 GXP.

If money is a concern, you'd be a lot better off with a car that gets 25mpg rather than 18...and no gas guzzler tax

I meant that the prices are very similar. I don't care about gas mileage. I also prefer the looks of the G8 GXP and the fact that its a couple mods away from being a mid to high 12 second family sedan. You can see where my priorities fall.

it seems pretty cool but i rather have a V8 hemi powered charger srt at 425 hp as my famlliy car. the charger now starts at 41k so there isnt much of a price diffrence.

I think the charger is ugly as sin. Over sized hunk of 4dr Dodge with some of the most unsightly body lines in the industry. I just think its crap when they bring back a muscle car name and turn it into a sedan as though the baby boomers are all washed up and have no sport left in us. I do agree with the Iceman though with regards to the G8's potential..IF you ABSOULTY must have those extra doors. [ February 11, 2009, 03:21 PM: Message edited by: season'd 88 ]

+1 chargers are garbage! i think the taurus will and could be faster than the charger. im sure it wieghs more than the taurus, and ya the taurus isnt the best lookin, i dont really like the back, but overall seems like its gonna be a sick ass sedan.

Exactly. The Charger is a hideous disgrace with a RAM grill tacked on the front of it. I would definitely take the SHO over the Charger. The G8 seems to be the best fit for my needs and wants... two car seats mean two extra doors AND you can order it with a 6 speed manual. I really don't understand not offering a manual with a "sports" sedan. I can understand that some people insist on having a lame ass automatic but that really takes the sport right out of it.
