just found out my exhaust system is hella rigged and i think im going to turndowns..the h pipe is welded to the mufflers the exhaust path is hella complicated and the h pipe is rigged to..i really like catback exhasut sound but a whole new kit would be to much..so i think im going to run turndowns..any reccomendations?..

Im running mac shorty headers , bbk o/r x pipe with flowmaster mufflers turndowns. Theyre ok just whenever you gotta smog the smog tech bitches about it. Im actually thinking of running pipes now though to quiet it up a bit.

ima have to hot smog my car anyways ..i got bbk shortys a mac o/r h pipe in the garage..so do i just buy these pipes of summit and get them welded to my mufflers so they will connect to the h pipe or do the sell dumps with those already on?

just go to autozone and buy some 2 1/2inch turndowns and weld them to your mufflers

Turndown 5.0's sound all the same. I wouldn't do it. Save some money up and get either magnapacks, slp, or arrow mufflers with 2 1/2 pipes to the back. You'll be sounding real nice!

dont do it, turndowns suck. Ive had em on a lot of my cars and its horrible. Dosent even sound good. plus sitting in traffic with turndowns is going to give you a headache.

keep the tailpipes, just buy a new kit. like what was said, turndowns get old in a DD and the cops will be looking at you even more. i had mac equal length shorty headers, mac off-road h pipe and mac mufflers with pipes for a bit before the turndowns and loved it. and please, don't put flows on your car. make it sound a bit different from every other 50 out there....

It all depends on what you like... Turn downs will make it louder inside, but I ran off road h with slp's dumped an it was loud as f*ck!! The less bends you have the less restriction.

I love my turndowns on my 95 5.0. It sounds badass, i am putting turn downs on my 68 Fastback, i wonder what the 532 will sound like LOL

My little 89 sounds alright with turn downs, bbk x and fms shorts and two chambers. I prefer the x over the h sound for some reason. I prefer the look of pipes though. I miss my pipes for that reason.

I agree with that too...I'd love to have my magnaflows back but like a dumbass I sold them and got flows
