Topic: BOUGHT A CAR AND THE GUY ASKED FOR PARTS BACK

So my cousin buys a car friday from some guys off the board(you know who you are) its only a parts car for us so we didnt mind the condition of it.
My cousin first goes 30 miles away with him and his daughter to check the car out, he is told that they just need to install the stock headers and the car would be able for us to drive home, no tow truck needed.
my cousin is like cool, im going to go and pick up my other kids, and my cousin so we can pick the car up.
We arrive a few hours later with me,my cousin,our friend, and our 4 kids(2 mines 2 his ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif) ).They seem to be finishing up the car up, so when they attempt to start the car, it wont ![[Confused]](confused.gif) ?? WTF
So now it turns into i forgot that the car was outta gas, it all leaked out on the towtruck when we brought it home?
That was one problem
So we go and get some gas, and the car still wont start WTF AGAIN
Problem 2
So they have what im guessing is the mechanic of the family, i ask him to check if the cars getting fuel? It is pumping gas but will not start.
So I ask him to check the timing. When he touchs the dist. is loose as HELL
So we play with the timing, and the car starts up, but wont stay running.
So there mechanic starts putting up his tools.
So i end up moving the dist. a 1/4 inch and the car stays running ![[Wink]](wink.gif) .(thought that was his job).
So now we have the car running(not perfect) but we just want to get it home 30 miles away!
So while the cars running oil starts shooting on the headers from the dipstick??
we check the oil, and its half way up the stick?
we end up draining some of the oil and it still was shootng out. Just not as bad.
So i ask the guy can i drive the car around the cornor to make sure its up to part for the trip.
And he says NO i will drive it?
problem 3
Im like what "man what the hell you mean i cant drive it, how do i know i can take your word that it will get me home"???
He says "NO"!!
So i tell my cousin give this dude the money to hold so i can make sure we are not wasting your 900 bucks ![[Mad]](mad.gif)
So after i drive the car around the cornor, and see for my self it is a piece of shit, but had to consider it was what my cousin needed i tell him its ok lets get ready and go home.
They do the paper work, and we are getting ready to leave the guy says:
"Man i was suppose to be selling you a stock car, im going to need my rims back, or either the X-pipe back you choose??
WTF AGAIN
Then he goes on about how the rims that are on the car he paid for them, but he has some 10 holes we can put on to get us home.
WELL WE GOT THE CAR HOME COMPLETE THE WAY HE AGREED TO BUY IT WHEN HE WENT TO CHECK THE CAR OUT EARLIER IN THE DAY.
BUT THAT WAS SOME BULLSHIT TO ME ![[BS flag]](graemlins/bs_flag.gif)

HAS ANYBODY EVER HAD THIS HAPPEN TO THEM?

Sounds interesting, I'd sell the rims or xpipe back to him/her otherwise keep them.

in my add for my POS i make it clear what comes with the car and what doesnt.
I dont get people that try and change shit up at the last min. Id do like 532 said and sell him the parts back if he wants them.

Outta respect im not gonna put him on blast, just because the car belonged to TWO people, cant lie one of the guys was cool, but the other guy swear i was going to try and do some funny shit with my 1 year old and my 6 year old in the car.

If I knew then what I know now, Id walk away. At the first sign of BS I'm done. I used to get suckerd into this type of of ghetto shit, but not anymore.
There is a guy on here selling alot of motor parts that I needed, and in a hurry..... My car was going to the mechanic the next day, and I was ready to drive and get the parts right then. I PMed him 2 times telling him to call me, and he never did. I saw him reading the PMs a minute after I sent them. Fuck him, Ill just buy new... and I did. BTW he still has the parts for sale, and that was over a month ago. His loss not mine ![[patriot]](graemlins/patriot.gif)

Wow, what what is meant by that?
As mentioned above, at the first smell of funny business, I am OUT! There are far too many Mustangs out there to deal with anything thats not legitimate.
