On 80 headed towards richmond at 1120 ish this morning and saw 100's and 100's of bikes heading off the shellmound exit in emeryville. Looked like their meeting at chevy's or something? Anyone know what its for?

Its called the Sac to the Bay ride, Alot of my buddies are riding in it there in emeryville right now about to go to a huge barbeque, They start in sac and pick people up along the way to the City

The CHP is actually an escort to stop traffic coming on ramps and what not. Done it once. Once was enough.

I heard it's quite the site to see, but not so fun to ride in because it's like a mile of bikes.

chp was escorting the bikers. chp on bikes and in cars. traffic for people on cars, and the whole carpool was dedicated to the bikers. It looked pretty bad ass rollin out hella deep.

the BBQ on big rides are fun ,staying in a group ride sucks....It is not the style I like to ride.

Yeah. I do seem to drive more crazy with other riders though. Well, off to ride my bike....
