Topic: How are the AED cars doing?

Just wondering how Shaun, Drew, and the rest of the guys are doing w/ their cars and their customer's cars Ryan, Jim, Saf etc?
I know it's peak racing season so i'm sure people are going fatser and faster every week.

nobody is going faster in the heat. You just kind of try to hang within a few tenths this time of year.

Hey Mike(right?)
What i meant really was since i haven't been on here for a while i haven't been in the loop of any of the cars so just in general......that actually goes out to all....but more specifically Jim's vert, i think Safi's(sp?) black Cobra, someone had a turbo Cobra, and of course Shaun and Drew's Stangs......
The heat right now is why i haven't had a chance to get back up to Sac....i sweat like a SOB ![[Razz]](tongue.gif)

Eh....
The heat sucks.....& the last 5 times to TNT at Sac Raceway we raced at, the track prep was nil. Weds nights have actually been hooking *much* better.
We consider racing season to start in late September & end in April or May. Summer time is for BBQ's, pool parties & late night wrenching.....out of the heat!
As for my own Cobra I blew the TH400. Long story short, I got screwed. Trany was suppose to be built to handle 2000+HP....turned out to be mostly stock. Jim at ATO took care of the buildup to make it actually able to handle 2000HP.
So (for shits & grins)....I threw it in the wife's N/A GT to see how her car would run with the Auto. She slowed down 1/2 second & 6mph in the 1/4. I haven't swapped the trany back in my car yet. (too busy)
But....my car did go 10.4 @137 on a Weds night with no 2nd gear. LOL
Drew's car is running, but is awaiting new valvesprings before he'll race it again. & the valvesprings he wants are on National back order.
Other cars we're slowly getting ready for Pinks All-out in Sept. Working on those projects when we have time away from the day to day customers. Both Safi's & Jim's have 4R70W's awaiting install....among other things.
At this point the cars that are running we're trying to not race/break before Pinks All-out. LOL We'll be out at the track testing/tuning the combos before the event however.
Been helpping out other customers with their race setups. We just recently took an FFR Cobra race car in. (Limited power road race class). We squeezed out 65/55RW extra power (under the rules) & took the car from the back of the pack to just behind the national champion on the first track outing.
We've got a few cars that we're doing the same type of things to. Basically just changing a few things here & there on the setup to get them to run/perform better. Not full motor builds, but maximizing the combinations through misc changes.
Some of the things we find on these cars are just plain CRAZY! We wonder how they havne't blown up!

besides my, "just plain bad luck" with cars, the car is running pretty smooth. No numbers yet with the newer setup, but im hoping/guessing for around 525ish rwhp and 460ish rwt. Shaun had to do an actual street tune on my car...lol, so no numbers

Sounds like you do have a bunch on your plate but that's a good thing in this horrid economy of ours i guess.
I know there isn't much racing going on locally but it's jumpin all across the nation so that's why i asked.....i'm anxiously awaiting the cool Nov. air!

Picked up a used 2.4 KB for the cobra, only pushin 15psi, but anything better than stock!
