Check it out....
The results actually were a little different on my videos, but SNKLEEN, the driver of the 01 Cobra put this vid together. Thanks BTW, the video came out nice...
The cars are a pretty good match though, but I do think the Mach is a bit quicker...
I also have to disagree with the caption on the side that says the Mach has a weight advantage. Yeah, IRS is heavier than SRA, but, the mach has heavy MM subframes, PHB, metal shaker scoop. SNKLEEN's Cobra also has an aluminum driveshaft & flywheel which counts. I would say the cars are probably close to even weight wise.....Plus, if his car is putting out close 348/348 as opposed to the Mach's 315/327, that should easily make up for the weight advantage...
I will post my videos as soon as photobucket starts working for me because I dont want mine on Youtube....

LOL!!! In Michoacan & HWY 50....
It was close to dead even, but to be honest I pulled on most of em. I will tell you this, Forcefeds dyno is full of crap...We have very similar mods & he put out almost 350/350 as opposed to my 315/327?? machs have better heads, higher compression, & I have never heard of a NA 4.6 32V putting down those type of numbers with bolt ons only???No way in hell a TB, aluminum flywheel & driveshaft are gonna give you 35rwhp/20rwtq. Plus he shouldve killed me if it was really putting down that much power....
No disrespect SNKLEEN, your car runs good, but Im just being honest about how FFP's dyno is inaccurate as hell. Its obvious because we both got our cars tuned there & they run nearly dead even.... [ June 19, 2008, 02:42 AM: Message edited by: EPIK ]

no worries man, i just posted the numbers i was given by keith and you. and my reasoning for what i wrote in the caption is: from what i've read on Cobra forums, irs adds about 150lbs. and from what i've been told, the suspension doesn't weigh that much more than stock, and if anything its gonna help you put the power to the ground better.
another thing, you have gears on me. i know it's not much, but gears make a big difference. before i got my driveshaft and tune, etc., i raced bryce's old cobra. he had cold air, o/r exhaust and 4.10's, thats it. and he still beat me pretty decent. longtubes didnt help me much against gears. i never got to see the race, but i heard it was the same with you and eric
anyways, i hope we can race again sometime soon.

lol, if we're goin into little weight stuff like that, i had a full nitrous bottle in the car, steel racking with plywood from work in the trunk, etc. all in all, i think that either the dyno numbers are completely fu***d or your car weighs less. plus you have a slight gear advantage. but props to you man, cuz i asked everyone what they thought the outcome would be based on our dyno numbers and our cars differences. and everyone thought i would beat you, so yeah i was shocked to see that your car was that fast
lol, there's a lot of differences between our cars. but i guess you kinda have to dissect them after such close races huh?
can't wait to run again man

No biggie bro. Our cars are about even power wise. I will be honest with you, FFP's dyno numbers are all over the map, so yes I think your numbers are actually lower than what it says on the sheet. Dont worry about that though because they are just numbers. What really matters is how the car runs & that he got the A/f ratio right.
As far as suspension parts go, Im not too sure how much the parts weigh, but they were pretty solid. If I have to guess, I would say that the panhard bar & SFC's had to add at least 40-50 lbs. The control arms are actually 5 lbs heavier than stock, & i didnt have the tubular K member installed yet. The only thing that is lighter than stock would be the front coilovers, plus the shaker probably weighs about 10lbs being that its made out of metal.
You have the aluminum driveshaft, & flywheel you lost a few lbs there. Anyway, your car is probably slightly heavier than mine, but i dont think its as much as you think. i have heard that IRS weighs only 80-100lbs more than SRA.... anyway, who cares, both cars run good & are evenly matched.
When Eric & I raced the one time, it was almost dead even with me having a very slight edge, but not much more than 1/2 a fender....That says alot about his car, because it didnt have many mods on it & it ran like a raped ape....
I cant wait to get a few more runs in soon, but If I get my new clutch in on monday, I want to at least break it in for a couple of hundred miles.... [ June 19, 2008, 03:45 AM: Message edited by: EPIK ]

These races were hella close. I was following in my Cobra. It did seem that Epik was slightly pulling other than the race where the Cobra jumped. We filmed their 1st race from my Cobra and Epik pulled ahead, but the audio is messed up from my cousin talking about the race. I agree that Forcefeds #'s are wrong. Not that your car isn't making good power but if you were making 33 more rwhp, you woulda pulled Epik pretty good regardless of the small weight disadvantages you guys are talking about. I would like to see some dig races at Sac Raceway

3-4 tenths from gearing will add up a little more than 40 horse... The gears had the advantage not the weight.

No, it wouldnt but when someone says they are out geared I wouldnt expect them to be bull shittin. I call BS on the gearing claim aswell. 327's to 355's isnt much of a difference atleast not 3-4 tenths. Best thing to do would be swap drivers. [ June 19, 2008, 04:26 AM: Message edited by: Dave50 ]

Here are a few of the vids from my camera....As you can see the Mach hit the brakes 1st in race #1 & #4 signifying the WIN!!!!
Race #1... Mach takes it
didnt get race #2 on my camera because the Vette was in the way....
Race #3....Mach tries to get the Cobra to speed up to 50mph, but the Cobra jumps the gun before they are lined up....
Race #4... Both get a good start & this was the best run...Its hard to tell from this veiw, but as you can see the Mach braked 1st at around 145mph...Cobra was getting close to inching on the Mach by then though, but the Mach was still ahead slightly, but who races up to 145mph???
