By crap out I mean the page will try to load and it will say done but there wont be any text or anything. I have to quit firefox and start a new session and re-try it.

Safari and netscape work just fine for me, I had the same problem before (only on safari not on netscape), I updated mac os x to a newer version and it works fine now.

what version of FF are you using, is it the beta build? I guess your next logical choice would be safari for a MAC?

Using OSX. Ran all updates and none were found. So I am guessing the most recent version.

was it a specific site that was doing it? I know I am coding a pp now that with DOM scripting would choke FF on a MAC out everytime . Also make sure your plugins are up to date like flash player and all that jazz and maybe silverlight if you were visiting like msn or something.
