The Un-ported stock intake ran damn hard (10.1 @135mph), but was holding me back, so I decided to hack it up & modify it. Some of you might be asking yourself 'Why didn't he just buy an Edelbrock Intake?'. Well....I like keeping under the hood looking stock. I can't tell you how many times I've popped the hood & heard 'Lemme guess.....it runs high 13's/low 14's right?'.
I like the Supa-sleepa status.
Took 4 months, over 30 hours of total work & a decent amount of $$$ for welding & powdercoating, but it looks better than stock & should perform well.
This is the 2 halves of the intake after I cut it apart:
Here's the 2 halves after porting. You can see that I removed 1.5" of runner length which enlarged the plenum:
Here's the Intake after it was welded back together & the weld ground down. (took 3 times to get it right):
The finished product. (Some may notice that I took off a bunch of casting flash & smoothed the intake to give it a cleaner look.):

AED stickers are not allowed on my Cobra. NO sticker are! LOL
By my before/after calculations I gained 15% usable area in each runner. I also added a 70MM TB which is about the same gain over the stock 65MM. I HIGHLY doubt I'll gain 15% in flow or HP....but even a 5% gain would net 35HP. Not including the (hopefully) 200RPM band increase from shortening the runners. So...I'm hoping it'll gain significant power. Who knows for sure....at the same time I'm swapping from a fairly efficient C4 to a Turbo400 which will eat up some power.

The intake should perform similarly to a Ported Edelbrock Performer manifold. It's still much smaller than the VicEFI I did for my wife's N/A 347....yet we both run VicJr heads.
Basic Combo: Dart 333ci (4.04 x 3.25) VicJr heads with chamber work, Inconel valves, Comp 953 springs, TI retainers, 10 degre locks, etc. Custom 1/8th wall 5/16th pushrods Comp Pro-mag 1.6 rockers F303 camshaft retarded 4 degrees Ported Cobra intake Full fuel system with Custom aluminum tank (Ricks Custom tanks) Incon TT kit, Ported manifolds, ceramic coated, Fresh rebuild on the turbos, spearco intercooler, large BOV, etc Full 3" exhaust from the turbo manifolds back Fully rollerized C4 (now ditched for a Turbo400) Custom 10" converter Built 8.8 w/3.55 gears Custom driveshaft suspension mods chromoly cage etc, etc.... Too much to list
I ran the 10.1 with 14-15psi (fluctuated).

Incon kits were designed to fit the turbo/manifold in place of the stock header. This kit can use a stock H-pipe & is therefore smog legal. You can barely see one of the turbos on the driver side near the Iron exhaust manifold.
