A lot of stuff. I was riding with my friend (who is now a chp officer) gunned his truck around the corner and got pulled over right after, the cop listed off about 10 things he could have been fined for: street racing, unsafe start, destruction of property....etc. I guess it all depends on how the cop is feeling at the moment. But I think you can get up to two points on your license. But my friend got off with unsafe start and just had to do traffic school.

my brother and i were "drag racing" (he was in his '87 crown vic, and i was in my del sol) well on the takeoff the crown vic did a peglegger peelout. the cop pulled us both over.
when they found out we were brothers, they let us go on an "excessive acceleration/break traction" ticket. it wasn't a moving violation. therefore neither of us had to do driving school and it didn't show up on our records

Hey, I got one of those Excessive acceleration tickets in Vallejo too. It is actually a municipal code violation.

Just an FYI CCVC 23109(c) - exhibition of speed. This can be either an infraction or Misdemeanor. If so, and they choose to charge it as a misdemeanor and not as an infraction, you face up to 90 days in jail and a $500 fine. So that means for backgrounds and jobs that ask if you've ever been convicted of a Misdemeanor you have to answer yes. [ June 19, 2007, 01:37 PM: Message edited by: BIzKitBrAIn ]

An exhibition of speed (23109) ticket is supposed to be a 2 point ticket, and not eligible for traffic school. If the cop wants to be a dick at the time he could also get you for wreckless driving, and impound your vehicle.
I had gotten an exhibition of speed ticket awhile back. I did a donut as a cop was pulling up to the corner. He only cited me for a 23109. I went to court for it plead not guity and got another court date for the officer to show up. I forgot to go to court, went the next day to set up another date. (The officer showed up by the way, so I was found guilty at the time.) My next court date I got to put in another plea, plead not guilty, but I had to post the amount of the ticket to ensure I'd show up for the next date ($351). Went to court, officer didn't show and all charges were dropped and my money was refunded to me. This was all about a one year process, so the officer probably didn't even remember.
Hopefully that story made sence and wasn't too long. Good luck with it though, I know I must of had it!
