Looking to go camping and possibly rent a boat this summer. Somewhere such as lake berryessa, clear lake, lake sonoma, or lake comanche. Any suggestions recommendations on some places?? thanks!

lake camanche is the shit. i love that place. my family goes up there all the time. i actually had family up there for this memorial day weekend. lake berryessa is always nice.. clean water, warm. both are great for camping and boating.

also, if you're looking to camp and not boat, then there's a lake up in sonora, ca that is f'n amazing. clean, clean, clean freshwater. gorgeous scenery.. CLEAR nights to stargaze (my favorite thing to do up there). camp grounds are clean.. hella fun.

must not be talkin about the same lake. don pedro is no small lake. it has two marinas about 20 miles apart.

Don pedro is out past lake tulloch its on the way to sonora in the mountains i believe its highway 62 or something.
Best party lake is berryessa, hands down. Best scenery with house boat and boat rentals is Shasta. Good all around lake with a nice hotel and bar that you can stay at is Tulloch. This is one of my favorite places to go camping with my core group of friends.
Pedro is tight, good size lake, has multiple marinas house boat rentals etc. There is a waterfall in the north end of the lake which is the party spot.
If I had to pick one lake to go to this summer, it would be Shasta, the scenery is amazing, you can go into a cove and have it to yourself. You can't have a bad time at shasta.
