I have a tendency to jerk the gun upwards That one's at 25 yards with a .45. I wish I could go more often but I don't own any guns.

Where do you guys go? I kinda gave up on wildlife refuges, they all suck except for Merced. I've gotten limits there the last three times I went.

It's actually my friends uncle private duck club in Williams, CA.. Yeah, I'm still learning on the different types of ducks. But yeah, spoonies are stupid ducks. We got 10 that day. We got another nice one too, not sure on the name, but the pic came out nice though. I'll post it later when I get home.

Yea, those little bastards get smart when they see people. Plus, when it's 20* outside, I'd rather be wearing that than not much...

Wow! 25 YARDS or 25 FEET?! I have a tough time just seeing the black circle, let alone hit the 10-ring that often at 25 yards/75 feet ... With a rifle, 25 yards is child's play ... but with a handgun, that's some damn good shooting! I'm impressed! [ January 19, 2007, 08:42 PM: Message edited by: 98Snake ]

Sounds like a fun day, spoonies are just as fun to shoot. They are hit or miss as far as eating goes. I'd be pretty stoked to get 10 of anything in one day.

Yeah, it started off slow, but between me and him. We got 5 in the first half of the day and another 5 on the second half of the day. Here is the nicest one we got that day.

You know what. I don't like duck. I just like the hunting part. But we give it to my friends uncle and dad to eat. I know they sautee (sp?) it with some seasoning stuff from the south. I tried it and it's a taste I really don't like. Too oily too.

I usually don't clean the whole duck. I cut the breast out and cook them over the grill w/ secret southern seasonings. I use the rest of the duck for my crab traps to get bait for fishing during the spring/summer.

Yea, they are the most retarded duck out there. The most fun I had was shooting a bunch of teal during my last outing on Wednesday. Talk about speedsters, jeez. Our season ends next weekend. What's the last day you guys can hunt?

Wow, duck hunt from nintendo anyone? That's the closest I've ever come to hunting, haha. Looks like a lot of fun, but I've only shot pistols before. Where do you guys go to shoot duck?

I'm pretty sure it was 25 yards, don't they go 15, 25, 50, 100? Anyway, I've seen some guys shoot a pistol at 50 yards. I think the black part is a little bigger but... talk about crazy shooting!
