I'm gonna need new tires for my ride pretty soon and just wanted to see how the mileage from my tires compare with others. Hopefully this will give me other options of tires to go with this time around.
Mine: Toyo Proxes T1s- ~19,000 miles

expensive HP tires go rather quickly... 10-12K
budget pos Kuhmo 712's, for example, can last 25K or more.
Depends on the tires.

haha, I have total pos kuhmo 711's and my rears have about 30-40% left on them with about 10k on them
they dont stick for shit, I dont do donuts or burnouts or anything but 2nd gear wide open around a turn and the rears just light up and smoke show time, lol

I have almost 44K miles on the original Goodyears on my '02 GT (that is for sale) and are only now getting close to needing replacement. If you rotate them every 5K miles and not "beat on it" they will last.

My Yokohama H1's lasted me forever (sorry don't know the miles) but they were hard as a rock and didn't grab worth a shit.
What do you guys recommend for tires? I am looking for a set of 17" performance tires with good grip and decent tread wear.

Yeah I'm kinda in the same boat as you are. The problem is I don't know what's connsidered "decent tread wear" for a performance tire. Maybe the 19K miles I got from mine is considered decent. Who knows

Can't go wrong with these
g-force kdw-2
I couldn't afford them so I went with these instead.
regular g-force So far so good with them. They hook pretty good and feel really nice around corners, no tire squeel. As for miles on them, I've put maybe 600 miles on them in 6 months so not a lot of info there. [ September 07, 2006, 04:15 PM: Message edited by: Jdub07 ]

The G-Force Sports look pretty reasonably priced. What size tires are you running?
What do people think of the Toyo Proxies? My friend has them on his Lexus and really likes them.
