Yes or No with a brief explination.

All yellow94gt and other mods have done is volunteer their time to help other people buy/sell parts, learn how to make their cars go faster and meet fellow enthusiasts. I have saved hunrdeds, maybe thousands of dollars here buying and selling parts over the years alone, but I don't care, this website owes me damnit, and I'll piss on it as much as I want. on the bright side at least you can find tons of v6 parts at the junkyard since they share a motor with the taurus and the taurus station wagon

Guys that pump up 3.8L's or do ANYTHING performance wise are pretty much like ricers. There trying to make big power with nothing. Almost every Mustang I've seen with a ridiculous, poorly painted and mounted body kit have had 3.8's. There are probably some fast 3.8's out there but 98% of them can't get out of thier own way. The Mustang is the all american muscle car, people associate muscle cars with big v8's. Yeah early Mustangs did come with I6's but every sales brochure I've seen from that period advertising I6 Mustangs have chicks driving them, and guys driving the GT's. Same goes for today. Its all personal preference. I prefer the sound and torque of a v8. Some people like the annoying lawn mower sound 3.8's make after they throw on a Flowmaster dual exhaust. I'm sure a few will chime in with thier opinions because the've spent half of what thier car's worth in aftermarket stuff only to make the power a GT would make with $3k in parts.

I saw a GT with Cobra emelems once. I was drunk and confronted the guy about it (some guy in his 30's). He said it was a limited edition Cobra for 2000. I asked him "So you took off the wheels for fake Cobra R's, installed GT brakes and front and rear facias, put in a solid axle, and installed GT seats?" Then he yelled at me.

Yes, but in 1965 there were 6cyl. cars too. And those precious fox bodies, wait they had 4cyl models, they must really be imports then. A mustang is a mustang, no matter what trim level or power level you get it with. It's about having pride in what "you" got, not in what others think you have.
Hell there are tons of 94-95 GT models who swap an intake, heads and brakes and slap cobra emblems on there cars. Fags too huh, since it might be more then stock cobra's, but it wasn't born one.
Goes back to individual personalization. Some people want a car for the look, maybe not the power, higher gas bill, higher insurance bill. Who knows? As long as they like it, the cool to them.
Oh, and as far as the Pintos, those are 4 bangers ![[Wink]](wink.gif) , and there are some out there that can rip stangs to bits.

i'm just having fun on here, i know about the hot pintos, but can you call a v6 a "STANG" is the question, just trying to get people riled up. and people can do whatever they want with their cars, to each is own, i'm not raging on people, just v6 mustangs.

I dont think you should "rag" on V6 mustangs. I understand that they are not as loud or fast (straight off the lot) as usual V8's, but I can tell you that my vorteched V6 was pretty damn fast. With a little work, I was able to blow by a decent number of GTs. Also, after removing the supercharger and having basically every bolt-on possible, I was able to win 4 out of 5 races against a 5.0. Dont get me wrong, I am currently a proud owner of a foxbody 5.0, but V6's deserve the same respect as any other Mustang...as long as they're not riced-out.
TuxMaskAndy, Procharged2KV6 (currently owns 03 Cobra), and myself were all part of a pretty large V6 movement a couple years ago that actually received some respect. Not sure if you guys heard of our club StangBaySix ![[Cool]](cool.gif)
In general, yes they are slow, but I think they should be respected. Put it this way, I bet a 99+ V6 with bolt-ons can hang or even beat a 96-98 GT with bolt-ons...the only deifference would be the exhaust note
