Q: hello i was just looking at your car which by the way is very cool and i dont know why people are so uptight you made a mistake admitted to it and put the correct information on cant people just deal with that, but the reason im asking a question is i was just curious that if your car didnt reach the reserve price if you were going to relist it on ebay or just sell it to the high bidder?

A: Well at least someone who understands a mistake . . I will not relist it. I am going to sell it to the highest bidder for less than my reserve. But I do have money into the vehicle and I have to recover most of it. When the sale comes to an end I will see if I can afford to sell it here. I will not sell at the present price it needs to be closer. I would lose money selling now. I have more invested. Lets see where it goes I will answer question all the way up to the end of the sale
Q: Stock 97 GT have an engine rating of 205 horsepower. Your mods are about a say...30 horsepower. Now, that's 235 for engine brake horspower. Factor in a 12% loss from parasitic loss anf friction and the fact you have an auto, and you're looking at 206.88 to the wheels. In order to make 230 to the wheels you would need at least 265-670 Engine horsepower. An intake, cat-back, intake plenum, wire and plasma booster will not add 65 horsepower. THis is also debunking the fact that there is nop other internal modification (cams, head-work etc.). I just want the correct information listed for other. I am sure you're an honest guy, but please get all of your information right before trying to sell something else on ebay.

A: WOW I TAKE THE CAR TO A DYNO LIKE EVERYONE ASKED AND i AM STILL GETTING MESSAGES LIKE THIS???? They gave me the dyno sheets and the power to the wheels . .if you do not believe me call them . . .ALl my information is correct . ..they did the math not me. I can e-mail you the results they gave me . . and you can call them if you so desire. I do what people want and they still do not believe me. This is amazing. THis guy is allowed to do whatever math he wants . .I will repeat again for those that did not get the last two messages . . .I pull 232.40 at the rear at 4800 rpm and 286.66 in torque at 3800 rpm. My figures have not changed since the test and they will not change after it is purchased . .unless it is modified further . . .also many of the people on here, through the many e-mail I got, say base horsepower on a GT mustang is about 215 to 225 depending upon who wrote the letter . .not 205.

Q: Ok, we are sure you fell far from your 425 estimate, but now your dyno of 235 seems out of place also. It is very high for what you have listed. Do you have the dyno sheets scanned on your computer to post?

A: first of I said 232.40 secondly not sure how to post . . but will willingly or can e-mail to you . .whatever you want. hell I can even give you the phone number of where i got it done . . Why does it seem high for what I listed according to other mustang people they were giving me from 225 to 255hp . . . Let me know what you would like me to do . .I will co-operate in any way I can.
Q: hello, i know this is your first selling auction on ebay but your car isnt making 425hp...ill give it 200 at the wheels....i use to have a 98 gt auto and in stock form it ran a 15.2 at the strip....you also state that your car has run 145mph at the track? how can that be? you also claim to max out your car at 190 mph, but the stock tach only reads up to 150mph? i dont think your car will brake into the 14s with slicks either....im not trying to be rude or anything, but alot of these guys that have posted a question have been around stangs and know their capabilities. you and your buddies think its real fast but maybe you guys are use to driving 4 cylinder cars that can bearly crawl on hills,i dont know. good luck with the auction!

A: The answers that everyone has been waiting for . .you were all right . .I was wrong with my estimates. At 3pm today I went to Automotive Diagnostic Specialists in Chandler AZ. the car tested 232.40hp at the rear at 4800 rpm and 286.66 in torque at 3800 rpm. It does have a top speed of 157mph on the flat. tested. I am sorry that I put the wrong information on the web but it does show me what you look for in the future and I appreciate that. I am correcting what I said previously on the ad for all to see. The car has low mileage and a lot of potential. Beyond everything it is still a GT mustang. It is clean and straight. It is a fun car for someone to drive and still get 17mpg and better if you do not speed. We are in the final hours of the auction. Next time when I put something on it will be all supported facts. Thank you all for bearing with me and showing me what you are looking for. The vehicle is still warranteed and will give the new owner many problem free and fun miles. Hope you all have a great night and if we get close I will probably end up selling it to the highest bidder if we do not meet my reserve that I cannot change now that we are within the 12 hour mark. Q: You're telling me that you've gained over 200 horsepower from an ignition, intake manifold, and a cold air intake? Those modifications would give you at most 30 horsepower. And your car handles better than a Cobra because it has Koni dampers? A Cobra has independent rear suspension, completely superior to the live axle you have. I 'estimate' that you are a complete liar and you should not be selling anything on ebay. If you are confident in what you are selling, you will post this in the item description and answer my questions.

A: WEll I am not a liar and have never driven a Cobra . .I was told by a Cobra owner his top speed was 140. I would agree with your horsepwer estimate for what I could see . .I do not know what has been done to the engine . .and it is going to the Dyno this afternoon will post results then. I know the car handles extreemly well and there are other things which have been done to it than I know of. If a cobra handles better I am sure it would be marginal.
Q: How can a car capable of 12s magically run a 15.6 by running on street tires? 13s would be more like it.

Q: You give no reason why your car should have 425hp besides your mechanics opinion? Ever heard of a dyno test? Your car looks stock with the exception of an upper intake plenum and CAI kit, both good for a total of about 12-15hp, meaning you are at 230hp if you are lucky.

Let's see what your mods are here: X-Pipe (Y-pipe is for V6's idiot)- +10hp 8mm Wires- +5hp Intake Manifold- +15hp Cold Air Intake- +10hp Total= 40hp and that's being extremely generous Stock HP= 215hp Total= 255hp Did I miss some modifications somewhere?? Where is the 170 HP coming from? You have got to be the stupidest Mustang owner I've ever seen. I've got a Supercharged 96 GT with full exhaust, intake, and the works and I'm pushing 330. Do yourself a favor and just cancel your auction.

A: WEll I never claimed to be a mustang lover, I just really liked this car when I bought it did a few mods on it nothing major. I do not know anything about the engine, internal, or the computer. I will find out shortly what the horsepower of the vehicle is. Beyond that where are you going to find a stock GT mustang with low mileage for less than 7,000??? no where so buy the vehicle tear off the additions you do not like and put on the ones you do . . .you know what the value of what has been done to it so sell those and make money for yourself . . .do whatever you want but auction is not going to be cancelled just because everyone locks onto a HOSREPOWER estimate. Grow up. There is a lot of car there and someone will be the proud owner of it. I get compliments by everyone who has ridden in it and from those who have driven it. I really do not care what everyone else has to say, until you see it in person hear it and driven it . . .keep your slanderous comments to yourself. I did nothing to insult anyone. If I stated that that was the hosepower and that it would do 10's then I would be lying. My statement is I am not sure what it can do but my experience sayd that it is a very very fast vehicle do what you want with that information.
Q: I own 2 mustangs. A 1994 GT 5.0L v8 Convertible and a 1994 3.8L v6. You have done nothing to this car to give it 425HP, not even to the Flywheel. Also, if it did have 425 horsepower wouldn't it run faster than 15.2? Right now you're a laughing stock to the mustang community and I highly doubt your claimed profession. So I'm again asking how you came up with 425HP. Stock it's 215 [To the flywheel].. Also, that bodykit doesn't make it go faster.. If anything it adds weight to the car. If anything, you've made this car slower and made an american beauty into an ricer. Get your story straight and then feel free to message me back. -John

A: Going to the Dyno today 3pm again read what I wrote that should answer all you ask . .also this is my first e-bay auction. I will be doing this again but next time I will know all the information that you are looking for and will have it before I start selling . .I promise . . this has been as funny to you as it is upsetting to me. I am an honest person who is selling a car I know some of the modifications but have not torn it apart to find all of them . . .body kit came with vehicle by the way. when you buy it tear it off . .it is then the owners choice. Claimed profession??? well I have a reputation here in phoenix and references what do you have? assumptions thats all. I have been in business for 8 years and if I was to be lying about the vehicle why would I have gone into sure detail about what is wrong with the vehicle????? That would not make any sense . .I would just have hidden faults and let the buyer be upset when they purchased it. I like to sleep at night so ,in this case, if I can I do not represent any vehicle beyond my knowledge or what has been told to me. I never professed any expertise in these types of vehicles. If the shoe were on the other foot I would whole heartedly agree, it looks like a farse, but remember if there is misrepresentation of a vehicle e-bay has penalties and laws against that. Do you honestly think I would try to ruin my name and the history I have built up here over one vehicle??? you are sorely mistaken. When the buyer picks up the vehicle they will be very happy with the performance and handling, I am also waranteeing the vehicle. A: Exactly . . .with drag slicks this car will outperform it .. . .at the drag strip . .on the street it will outperform it at the strip . .the vehicle peels out so much it cannot get traction, with traction it would do mid 12's The tires that are on there are not wide or sticky enough to produce the true time that this vehicle is capable of. So Case and point. Street tires at track = no traction street tires on street = traction. Any question?
Q: Just curious how you came up with a 425 horsepower rating? This car stock has 215 horsepower. What have you done to almost double that? You mention no supercharger or nitrous. What am I missing?

A: Three people have asked this question of me so I guess there is some concern. Let me do what I can to lay that to rest. If this does not satisfy one and all .. .feel free to ask more questions. I appreciate and understand what you are saying . . .unless you have driven this vehicle or know what it is . . .I have to stand by the mechanics estimations. I personally have owned a few high performance vehicles but never anything this fast or powerful.I have driven the 2000 Pontiac Firebird Firehawk with 330 horsepower and this would smoke it in both power and performance. Everyone who has driven this has said the same thing. There have been almost $15,000 dollars in modifications to a car that bluebooks for about $6,465 for private party and $8,755 from a dealer. I have gone to great lengths to make sure this vehicle is a top notch runner, checked it top to bottom and warrantee it. I am not sure what other assurances the bidders would like? Again the horsepower is estimated from mechanics who build muscle cars like this and they have been in the industry one 15 years and the other 25 After that many years in any trade one can be considered an expert. I have never driven a Mustang Cobra but from the mechanics that have this handles better and is much faster with the Cobra. Its top speed is about 140 and my vehicles about 190. If you want to test drive it let me know when. I am an honest person and can only relay information from people who have been in the industry over 15 years each. ok . .top speed . . .At a track I have had it doing 145 taching 4600 rpm on a 6250 red line. It barely tachs 2500 rpm at 80 and at 155 it was no where near its top end . . still had lots of power . . like a passing gear with most normal vehicles at 75.
