Author Topic: Does DMV keep record of every car you've ever owned? SLOWBACK 67 ¯ Member # 6348 posted                              Just wondering because my dad and I were talking the other day about his 68 camaro he owned AND sold in the mid 70's. Just wondering if I could go to DMV and see if the car is still in the system.I figure if I can get a vin number I could at the very least run a car fax. I know the chances of his car still being around is slim to none & obtainable, But I know there have been stories of guys finding their old cars..... just figured I'd ask Cafords for any tips on tracking down a car. -------------------- Originally posted by turbo50: I have no intenions of keeping anyones parts or taking anyones money.
