So I've decided to sell my 06 GT in order to get rid of the payment in order to buy a house. Even though its my first stang, the bug bit me hard and I decided I can't go without one, so a fox seems like a good move. What do you guys think I will love/hate about the change?

This^^^ and parts are cheaply available, 5.0L motors were in so many different Ford, Lincoln Mercury cars that if you need a 5.0 liter part you dont necessarily have to get it from a Mustang Lol.. Foxes are like the Honda Civic of the Domestic world.

Trade even?
Edit: I am kidding but you have to really watch for theft with a fox. Major inconvenience. [ September 24, 2012, 09:05 PM: Message edited by: Blue92 ]

Buying a house is a good move...but buying a fox body, especially if it'll be your daily driver is not a good move.

What's your commute like?? I don't think a fox is a horrible idea, I've done it for 7 years you get used to things about your car. They are great vehicles if you get one that is unmolested and not beat to shit. Maybe look at the 94-95's they are closer to what you have been driving! Good luck finding a house.

The 06 is my daily driver, my commute is only like 11 miles down a back road, and I'm a technician at a land rover dealer, so I have access to a shop and maintenance/repairs don't bug me. Also, when you deal with complaints about, squeaks, rattles, wind noise etc all week, you quickly tune them out in your own car. As far as security, I've seen some of the horror stories on here, but I live in a real quiet part of rocklin, so not hugely scared per say. I'm hoping to drive a fox daily for a bit, once I buy a house and can gauge the expenses involved, I'm hoping to get into a coyote and turn the fox into a full on project, but only time will tell. By the way, thanks for the input guys.

Believe it or not, I enjoy driving my fox more than my 03 Cobra. Not as fast, but it's just a fun little car. As mentioned above, the only negative is watching out for thieves. Get yourself at the very least a good alarm and a clutch pedal lock (Autolock).
