The Subaru Impreza Outbacks?
I'm not looking to go fast or race anyone. I just want reliability, and gas efficient. I like that it's AWD and it would be really different. Just would like some opinions if anyone has any real opinions. Lol.

I've found a couple in my price range and kinda like them. I would prefer the Impreza over a basic Outback but will pull the trigger on a clean enough Outback.
But what are some pros and cons to them?

My girl has a 95 impreza but not the outback model. Thing is reliable. She has 270k miles on original clutch water pump etc. If you maintain it the thing will last.

If you own a Subaru Outback Waggon their are a few things you will be required to do:
1. Install a slew of stickers. ( assuming these aren't already on the car when you buy it.)
A. Obama 2012
B. Keep Taho Blue
C. Peace is patriotic

* Hybrid drivers can be an exception to the rule.
3. You have to own dogs and take them to the local dog parks.
4. Become a vegan or follow along with other types of trendy
diet/health scheme.
* Whole foods & Trader Joes should be your toto places to shop. Unless there's a farmers market in your area.
5. Believe every word you hear come out of Al Gores mouth about global warming.
6. Become an outdoorsmen.
A. Mountain bikes are your second transportation ( You can buy a mountain bike at your new favorite store R.E.I )
B. hiking, mountain climbing & Eco friendly acivitys are all excepted by Outback Owners.

I was actually thinking this myself. An average of 25-26 mpg a high of 30. It's just different and I like the AWD. But still leaning toward a newer Civic maybe an Accord.
