SIKE!!!
anyways i was looking for a truck and thought about a chevy 1500. since i havnt looked at the fords for a while i wasnt up to speed on what they had so i took a little trip to ford. well i knew i wanted a half ton. well didnt know much about the new line of motors and someone here pointed me in the ECOboost direction. this truck hauls ass! average mpg is 18.5 (but i didnt buy it to "save" fuel.)
if your in the market for an f150 ecoboost is the way to go. it makes more power then the 5.0l and as much as the 6.2 at around 1500 rpm it has max tq and carries to 5k. i look forward to towing with it.
2012 f150 ECO.

Right on. I'll post up some mpg numbers after a fill. I took the truck to sac twice. Ford vs Chevy and the CAFORDS car show.
Loaded up for sac.

I think " Dead on Doug " out at sears point is doing pretty good with his Eco boost F-150. He did have an issue with a tranny or something & had to get it replaced..... Or the whole truck I can't remember.

well so far i have 1300 miles on it. i filled up for a trip to sac and back and got 21.3 mpg. all freeway driven. filled back up when i got home. i was riding with 2 other people as well. just today i installed a factory remote start system which took a literal 10 minutes. i picked up the kit from ford which cost $176. i got it a lil cheaper through work then its normal price of $220. comes with antenna and 2 keys. no splicing required. all plug and play. after the install you will need ford to hook up their laptop and simply "turn on" remote start.
open glove box and push tabs to fully open box
remove side panel
plug into tire pressure monitor which has a port ready for the kit
mount antenna above glovebox which there is a spot that is made to hold it already and plug the other end into that (as seen at the end of the pliers)
