LS1 ftw, unless you get a 32v sn95 or new edge....But still
LS1= more bang for your buck....
That's only if your into quarter mile, as for DD and comfort I prefer the new edge... Weak point on LS1 cars is the 10 bolt but autos hold up better with less stress on the rear...With the 2v a lot of people have issues with the plastic intake manifolds... The camaro, after owning both. The interior is better than my new edges, better gas mileage, torque arm/panhard setup stock. Respond to mods 10x better.

I love new edges but how I see it if you are not getting a 4v cobra go get the ls1, never driven one but I do like them, only the SS models

If a catfish goes for ~7500 you can get a fox in the low 11s for that much for sure. I dont know exactly how much catfishes go for though.

LS1 over any 94-04 Mustang... Unless its a 03/04 cobra.
FYI 96-01 4v's are ridiculously slow when compared to an LS1 slightly modded...

my new edge is 5 speed, fun as hell to drive with 4.10's. dont know about the automotics. interior is better than camaros for sure, rides better looks better, less hp but can still hang in there with a little 4.6L
man since when did the ls1's camaros become CAFORDS.COM favorite fucking car, bullshit.
you all trying to compare how much it cost to go fast and which one is cheaper blah blah blah. really any car can be faster with $$$$$$ all depends on what you want, you want everybody that sucks ls1 penis and join the chevy bandwagon fine, but if you want to have a little 4.6L 281ci 2v that can whoop on any mullet driving camaro thats my vote, dont expect to do that on a bolt on GT though, not guna happen, you gotta know how to outdrive your opponent, if you know how to drive a 300hp car can beat a 400 hp car 1/4mile anyday
around here where i live apparently chevy boys cant drive. ive smashed modded ls1's(1 with cam, intake) with a bolt on + cams 2v, just because i launched on them off the line, roll race they would probably beat me though. only time was a red firebird smashed me but he was h/c/i built tranny etc etc, gotta pay to play
and ill take my 2v over a 4v non s/c anyday. i raced one with similar mods as mine minus cams and took him on a roll by about a car, pretty good for a gt if you ask me. 2v have lots of potential, people just think oh look i got a 75mm throttle body i think i can beat that ls1 over there, not guna happen lol

Just save up and get yourself a Z06. It would be worth it when you realize you dumped $$,$$$ into your 2v. When you could have just started off with an already fast car which just needed some minor bolt on's here and there. Start searching on CL.

You are correct if you go buy a 2500 pile of shit car and put the rest into the motor or whatever but I still don't see 11s for thoae cars with that amount of money being spent!
