I was just offered a job with Oregon department of corrections... I start April 9th!

Congratulations! Ironic, I just got offered a new job also making $8 more an hour. really excited, especially that they're gonna bump me $2 more after that within month of being there...I start "April 9th " ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

Haha, yea I live in some newer houses now but a couple blocks away there's some horses and dairy farm about a mile the opposite way .. lol, plan to is to buy a house in the bay next year..to the o.p. my buddy is a c.o. and loves his job, wish u luck and hope everything works out for the best

Yes... I dont know about the available overtime yet... But California cos only make about 600$ more a month base pay... But shit is hella cheaper up there...

Oregon is NOT much cheaper to live, AT ALL. You pay less here, but more there. My dad has lived in Salem for 15'ish years.
