I got an iPhone but can't switch my number to it because it's on the lost/stolen list so my question is... is there something I can do or get to activate it?

I am not a Verizon employee but I do know you can flash it to use on another Network. The IMED is blacklisted and can't be activated on the Verizon Network. This is why I never buy phones through craigslist. They can sell you a phone and report it stolen a few days later. On top of that the warranty does not apply to you since you are not the original owner.
