If those cats are hollow all they are is a foot size paper weight, can't sell em.

found the same thing when I was trying to smog my `97 when I first got it running with the new 4v.
P/O neglected to tell me they hollowed out the damn cats, was really fun finding a 96-04 stock h-pipe on short notice ![[Roll Eyes]](rolleyes.gif)

Yeah, ^^^ seriously....., I had the same prob trying to find the stock 6 cat h pipe for a 96 GT I used to own. One of the worst headaches of my life !

Yup.... I found out the hard way. 96 and newer obd2 cars are such a pain .... The car I owned was throwing codes left and right , couldn't get it smoged . Couldnt register it , I traded my old 91 GT for it straight across . Bad decision on my part. Dude came up off me. Oh well you live and you learn.

So just the front 2 being hollow made it fail?Mines like that and its never thrown a code either.
