been rolling the tri-ax now for alot of years... little notchy, but nothing to make it a pain to drive.

I hear good things about the MGW too based on all kinds of searches I've done. The shifter wont work with my handle though since the MGW base is round.

Seems like a lot of these brands are personal preference like choosing blondes from brunettes. Not that one is better than the other. I may go with the triax.

since my T-5 is in the old school. I prefer the the Tri-Ax because 1. it has 3 holes to mount the handle in two different spots and 2. I cut the hole in which my A/T shifter came up through just big enough to take the T-5 shifter out while the tranny is in the car and the PRO 5.0 was two big around the base want wanted to make contact with the sides of my floor hole (the area im referring to is the area where the shift stops are located)where the TRI-AX is slimmer in that area. thats about it. I really like Pro-5.0 shifters but the Tri-ax is so far so good.
Sure I could have cut the hole bigger to give more pro5.0 clearance but the bigger that hole gets, the less options you have for a boot trim ring. the billet Lokar one I bought barely fits around that hole as of now.
Id stay away from the 1-pc ripper shifters and as you will have no handle options (also think the mgw doesnt have a standard stick base like the others)make sure what ever you get allows you different handle options, so that you may taylor it for your vehicle. On my cousins comet I took a PRO-5.0 handle cut the threads off the top and mocked it up and drilled 3 different patterns so that he could move his stick around in his car.
