who on the board would be down to have a sturgeon derby of our own before christmas! its about that time for the sturgy bite and i see there is a good number of you guys that share interest in fishing.so who is down? of course we will need to be on boats to have a even playing field and if you have a boat chime in! so once again who is down to arrange a fun event? we would have to chip in on gas,bait and a pot for the winner of the derby! and winner will be determined either by biggest fish, OR,by drawing a number from a hat an matching the fish u catch to the number drawn!

ugly stick 6 1/2ft rod,some like to use 12-25ib test monofilament line,i like to use 50-80lb test braided line an reel wise i prefer a what we call a thumb burner which is conventional but u can get a spinning reel set up with the appropriate rod. leaders i make my self outta 80lb test mono line with a 4-6o kahle(widegap) hook. OWNER HOOKS ARE THE WAY TO GO!
