What's their name?
I ordered my own stuff and rebuilt my own T5. Wasn't too difficult actually, just some specialty tools needed.

When I was having my 3550 modified I talked to the owner about his custom T5s. He says some road racing guys with up to 500hp are using them without issue. I nearly bought one because the cost of rebuilding my 3550 was more than half of what it cost for his T5. In the end I didn't because I'm a cheap bastard. But it sure would be nice to have a trans that can handle that kind of power, reliably, in a lightweight package like the T5. Talk to John, he is an honest guy that has a wealth of knowledge about our transmissions.

your looking for: Cerini Motorsports 707-938-3979
I would stay away from Astro at all cost. they may "warranty" transmissions but good luck on that. from what ive seen on various sites Astro is able to cut cost by using cheaper small parts bearings etc. from overseas which can and have lead to premature wear and OR failure. not to mention do you really want to pay for shipping to send your tranny back just for them to tell you "we cant warranty this" and you pay to get your broken tranny back?
Better off dealing locally and getting better work. go talk to john over at Cerini and he will take care of you. if you are at all curious go to the G-force website and look at all the different options they offer for T-5 including a super beefy main case.
Also Bruce Coture over at modern driveline http://www.moderndriveline.com/ is great!I used to use him a lot when he was local but he moved himself/business out of state so he could expand and keep overhead low.He does top notch work but again if you are looking to have your tranny worked on OR modified you will then have the added expense of shipping both ways. also his website has a lot of T-5 info.
