I'm currently deployed to Afghanistan, and they have the option to buy through AAFES.. I'm sure if JohnB sees this post he'll know whats up. Anyhow, I had a quote made for a 12 gt base with brembos and 3 73s, 30,300 otd tax free is the part that makes it a good deal. Is there any car dealers on here that can say whether or not thats a good deal? I know Jaysea07 was a dealer but I can't seem to find him on here. Any help would be appreciated, I want to put the order in asap so it can be ready for when I get back to the states. Thanks

I don't know what AAFES stand for, but when I was a working for a dealer, there were several banks that were for military personals only. I'm sure AAFES is one, they have great deal, but I would say if you have your deal approved by them always look at another bank. Credit Unions have such low rates right now.
Good Luck and stay safe brother!

Thanks for the replies. It looks like I'd save 3000 off of what I was going to pay in the states before I got tasked for this trip. I was going to get the same car for 28k otd with 5k down. Seems like a pretty good deal. They have financing for 2.98 for 60 months also, so hopefully I get approved for that.

BTW, Provident Credit Union has 3% up to 84 months.

Thanks for your service to this country Have you considered buying a used 2011 5.0? Depreciation on a new vehicle is painful unless you are super rich.

Don't get a used '11 5.0!!!
Buy a 2012, they don't have the problems that the '11's had. I went to my local dealer here in Chico which is Wittmeier Auto center and bought mine from the salesman Brad. None of the B/S, made the deal and got the exact car I wanted. I got mine for $200 below invoice plus it had a $1500 rebate so it ended up to be $1700 below invoice. With your military discount I think that gives you an additional $500 off. I went to all the northern California dealers, from Stockton to Redding and my local dealer beat everyone else's price along with doing a dealer locate and finding the EXACT car I wanted.
