I would do it, then sell off your cobras breaks and make half back.

Damn, if I had the extra cash for brakes I'd definitely pull the trigger! That sounds like a great deal for sure!!!
Now, the question is "do you NEED them????"

Nope, I like Cobra brakes and never felt like I exceeded their capability for the type of driving I do.

I agree 100%!
Talk to SFCoupe and 9cobra7...these guys road race their cars and have both JUST upgraded to big brake setups from standard cobra brakes. I don't think 90% of the guys on Cafords actually NEED big brakes for their cars. But they do look cool that's for sure

yep, I don't need them and I've gotten my brakes hot enough to need to rebuild the piston seals a couple times in the calipers of my cobra brakes.
these should also require aftermarket 18" wheels in order to run, I don't think they fit behind OE ford wheels, they'd hit the back of the wheel face...

Ehh.. I think you just need to worry about getting it on the road. Plus, you'll need all the money you can get into that engine bay to keep up with a nice little red cobra I saw the other day at Dans.

That's a great deal but, like others have said, I think most people would be better off with Cobras that can be put together for about 15% of that price. I still use a PBR Baer setup and I've never felt the need to upgrade. Also, you can find parts and pads at any corner auto parts store.

I don't think anyone owns a mustang and modifies it out of need. They are just a canvas we paint on. An expensive canvas at that.
Mike bro I'm already knowing what Jasons packing. But the only foolish race is trying to be the fastest. My money isn't as long as some of these older cats yet so I'm good with just being able to compete for now
Dan you joking or serious? PM sent

In time, but not yet. Post graduation and a few years into my career I will. I will likely end up relocating with my career in law enforcement so its unwise to buy a home in a n area I may not live in for long and have to keep from a distance. From the projections I have read many market analysts still don't think the housing debacle is all the way over. Id rather wait and see what happens in a few years

Do it. A nice break set-up will complement those bad ass wheels you got.

Good point....
SCO yeah man those wheels really expose the brakes. It would be a shame to not have something fitting behind them
Blu50Stang tell me about it man. I'm mostly just daydreaming about them, but that deal is spectacular. I have been looking at big brake kits for years and never seen this kind of a sale
