So recently i just had some stupid asian man hit the front of my driver side fender and bumper which needs fixing. I have full coverage and my insurance wants to offer me to salvage (purchase) my vehicle because the value of the car is less than fixing the damages. But I have over 10 or 12 thousand dollars in receipts, what do I or how should I get them to pay me?

Did you pay for additional coverage for your upgrades??? Most think full coverage covers everything but it dosent. You have to pay extra to have all your add on's covered in case of this situation or theft!

Get as much as you can from insurance, buy your car back and part the shit out of it. If dude just hit your fender doesnt mean the entire car is trashed does it?

If he hit you, don't go thru your insurance, go thru his. Might take a little longer but they can't force to salvage your car since he hit you I think.

spider stang - You're right about the extra charges for the upgrades to be covered as well through my insurance.
94droptopGT - I don't want to part it out bc I'm 95% on finishing the build to my 1993 coupe not including the paint.
pittsburg mustang owner - The other driver and I were trying to make a lane change at the same time. But he didn't signal and most of my car (almost all 4 wheels) was in the lane before he thought about changing.
So earlier today i just found out why my insurance is trying to salvage my coupe. The inspector (another asiain) didn't read the autometer correctly. He reported that my coupe has 325,45[0] miles on the body. By mistake he read the counter number as a whole number when it really only has 132,545[0] miles.

Ive went over the damage and the car and its not much ... The iner suport is clean with no damage ... Its only need a front bumper and driver side fender
