I was driving my 1985 k5 blazer, it has a 6" lift with 35" tires. The tires dont stick out past the fenders at all, am I still required to have mudflaps? I see all kinds of lifted trucks, bigger than mine driving around without mudflaps. Do you think I have a chance of fighting it? I was thinking about going to the police station and ask an officer for a second opinion. (and no, it wasnt Rosetti who pulled me over lol)

Man I 94 f250 on a 6 lift and 35 tires I got pulled in castro valley down the street from my house I didn't have my seat belt on the office asked why I pulled u over for I replied I don't know sir he said that my tires stick out the wheel well more than a inch witch I don't think so he gave me a warning about that and let me go. He said next time I see you without mud flaps on this truck ima right u a fixit ticket. So I went to a buddy I know who works for the slpd he looked at it and told me he probley pulled u over for that because its close and he probley wanted to see if you have been drinkin because I got pulled over on new years day

ANy time the center line of a tire is exposed mud flaps are required. Not just for potruding beyond the fender.

my tires don't stick out at all, the backspacing on my rims keeps them tucked away perfectly. The cop looked really nerveous walking up to my truck with his hand on his gun, my windows arent tinted and i have a clean record.

how much tire shows from behind the trunk UNDER the fender line?
TONS of rocks get thrown up by lifted trucks that don't have mud flaps...shit is fucking annoying as hell.
just a thought from the other side

I understand 100%, but I get hit with debris from cars pretty often.

this code states that vehicle must have a flap/apron etc to MINIMIZE spray or splash. im guessing you didnt have any flap/apron? might be hard to fight this one.
