Had it in for some warranty work recently, but since the shop I went to does everything...
well I had the front bumper, grill surround, one of the fender flares, and the drivers door handle repaired and repainted, she looks brand new now with no more rock chips or scrapes ![[Whoo Whooooo!]](graemlins/woowoo.gif) lifetime warranty on all the paintwork and the front end now has 4 coats of clear.
I also had this thrown on the top
Went with the Stieg stage 4 ported blower/plenum/tb.
Waiting for longtubes and midpipes, SCT BA-2600 MAF, and an SCT xcal to tune it, but even staying in vacuum the new blower is way loud.

Nice truck man.
My buddy used to have one of these, stock of course, and man that thing hauled ass.
Do you feel a significant change in power since going with the aftermarket blower?

The truck looks great... How did you like the ported blower. I've been thinking about sending mine out . How much did it cost to get it done?

thanks all, I missed her while it was at the shop but I'm really happy to have it back looking like new ![[Smile]](smile.gif)
the stage 4 complete package with front drive rebuild, rotor strip, porting of the blower/plenum/throttle body was $525, I didn't feel the stage 5 was worth the extra ~$175 just to get the mid plate ported.
I think it was worth it, I haven't gotten on it really since getting it back because I haven't gotten a wideband installed yet in order to tune it, but even driving around with it at 0-1" vacuum it feels very strong, I can't wait to get the longtubes on it and the exhaust buttoned up.

I'm jealous of the mods but I'm leaving mine all but stock in the power department since I tow with it.

I do as well, it's not that hard to stay out of boost, I just downshift to keep the rev's up and use less pedal which means more vacuum.

That makes sense but I typically pull around 5500 pounds and sometimes more. The big issue is that El Dorado Hills is the base of the foothills and the shop is up the freeway. There are several big grades where the truck is solidly under boost.

haven't ran a tank yet, but I imagine the same or better, it only uses more fuel when in boost...it was making 11psi before with the stock blower and I routinely got 17mpg highway, 15mpg city.
I imagine once I get the longtubes in and the tune dialed, it will get quite better mpg than before if I can keep my foot out of it.
