I think you will make over 400 rwhp with the right cam. Is jon gonna put it together for you?

^ more likely that..... But if he gets a custom cam..... I think he could get real close to 400rwhp.

I'd say a custom cam but I would bump that comp ratio up and then u'd for sure be in the 400 hp range

340-350 rwhp is realistic, given the build and combo choice are spot on.

He could just build a 351 stroker and make some serious hp. 1st 2nd 3rd 4th you would have no problems doing your big circles with that combo. [ September 06, 2010, 01:52 AM: Message edited by: Slowback67 ]

on a stock block?
if yes then its a waste of money(in my opinion) u could make 500rwhp with a stock block 302 and boost..if using a 4 bolt main block then defenetly go for it...good luck

Error #1 - go 347 if you are doing a stroker Error #2 - Send those heads out for porting or step up to AFR 185s Error #3 - Call Hi Tech Motorsports for cam
As you can see, the cost is climbing quickly. I'd personally toss on the GT40 combo you planned originally for a fun and cost effective street car... then spray when you need to.
The less money you spend and the less down-time you have, the more fun it will be.
When it comes to modding, there is a fine line you can cross when things stop being fun, and it looks like you are heading in the direction of that line.
Best of luck.

and i figure i my engine is out and i have the patience then why not?..instead of building this gt40 combo and adding my driver mod to jus barely blow a few doors id rather slap this beast together and simply murder them..i have nothing but patience and the way i see it my car needs to be down ..keeps me from getting tickets..harrased by the smomg nazi's or worried bout parking it anywhere..so i see this as a god thing
