"The greatest feeling you can get in a gym, or the most satisfying feeling you can get in the gym is... The Pump. Let's say you train your biceps. Blood is rushing into your muscles and that's what we call The Pump.
You muscles get a really tight feeling, like your skin is going to explode any minute, and it's really tight - it's like somebody blowing air into it, into your muscle. It just blows up, and it feels really different. It feels fantastic.
It's as satisfying to me as, uh, coming is, you know? As, ah, having sex with a woman and coming. And so can you believe how much I am in heaven? I am like, uh, getting the feeling of coming in a gym, I'm getting the feeling of coming at home, I'm getting the feeling of coming backstage when I pump up, when I pose in front of 5,000 people, I get the same feeling, so I am coming day and night. I mean, it's terrific. Right? So you know, I am in heaven. "

to me you get the best pumps when you do light weight and bring 15 to 30reps on each set. or take sat and sun day off and come back monday repaired and rip those bad boys up again. if your not sore those 5days your working out your not getting good pumps you should be in that shower cramping up. now thats light weight baby. ronnie coleman

Yeah man the feeling right after a good workout is dope. Always my best when I rep 10 at a light weight, set of 6 a lil heavier, then 4 at the most I can sustain. Drop back down and rep out till I fatigue. Good feeling.

I just left the gym my shoulders are stuck on swoll right now. this must be the pump..

Did arms today... I tried this new bicep exercise, it's similar to a burnout, but basically, you workout with a partner and a straight bar. Your partner does 10 reps, then you do 10 reps, then 9 reps, 8 reps, 7 reps all the way to 1 rep and then work back up to 10 reps... The only break you get is while your partner is doing his reps. I'm sure it has a name, but I don't know it. However, it definitely blows the arms up!
