I bought the QA1 setup. First i bought the k member and was told that it would work with the stock arms but they were wrong. I couldnt turn my tire at all with on ripping something off. So i call QA1 and asked how to solve the problem. I said that if i am going to have a clearance issue i wont waste my time and i will return the k member. They insisted that if I bought there control arms and got coil overs that it will solve the issue and move it back to the stock location. So I bought more of there product thinking i will fix my issue and it still didnt. I called and told them my problem and was irritated that i wasted my money. So in a nut shell i sent pics and told them my problem and said different mustang forums all talked about the same problem and they pretty much said i was shit out of luck. SO DO NOT BY THERE PRODUCT OR YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS.

I just am looking out for others who could make the same mistake. On a good note i fixed the issue by cutting and bending shit and the car does handle a whole lot better then it did. Man, crowd is hard these days. Info sharing should never be frowned upon. This may prevent someone from going through what this gentleman went through.
All bad you had to find out the hard way. But cool for you to share your experience. While I may never have the need to invest in their products. Your incident is now something in my head if I ever do.

Isnt it a different part number for your car. I think the k member and control arms are different for the foxbodys

There is NOTHING wrong with the K-frame it adds approx 1" of wheelbase, its not a flaw it was designed that way. But with doing so they had move the geometry forward. Have one in my 86 and I am running stock a-arms(only becuase i was running a stock style spring) and they work just fine. I will be adding a tubular set now that I did the coilover conversion.

I had the same problem in my 01, they said it would work with the OE control arms, it would with a bunch of trimming and the steering geometry being all off and completely unsafe... Buy the whole setup or nothing.

First off, it will work with stock control arms. Been there, done that. Secondly, all the major parts suppliers (Summit, Jegs, etc) "suggest" aftermarket control arms. Why? Because minor adjustments must be made to the stock ones to allow them to work.
I installed a QA1 K member and tubular control arms this past winter on my 1993 Cobra. Only issues I encountered were the following:
-Stock control arm bolts were required to be re-used. However, the lip/outer edge of the bolt had to be ground off to allow it to fully seat into the mounting area. Once I saw this, I went and bought brand new grade 8 hardware. Fukk grinding! -Caster/Camber plates are a requirement for this, due to geometry/angle changes. -It's cold as hell in Kansas (mid-Feb) and a space heater in my garage was needed.
All told, I spent 3 hours putting this in.
Check out this pictorial found with a simple Google search, it shows all possible issues. QA1
