I had posted on this car a few days ago. I since have had the VIN and ran a autocheck. It was involved in a minor accident 5 years ago other than that is is clean. I have been more looking for a 94-98 Cobra but came across this car. It has 110K on it and the body is in really good shape. I need to get a few more body shots but he sent me a bunch of shots of under the car. What do you guys think about this car for under 4K?

Looks pretty straight, but I need to see more pics of the exterior. I will be honest, Zinc Yellow is not on my list of favorite colors, but for the right price, I guess I could look past it. Too bad its not Chrome Yellow, thats a badass color...

Chrome yellow is much better but this is a really good price. I have been struggling because I really wanted a 94-95 Cobra just because of the 302 motor. I just want a slightly modified daily driver.

Well, a 2V can make for a good DD, & they are fast enough to have fun with... If you like it, & all checks out, I say go for it...

Whats wrong with my comment? It must have been better than 4.sux right? Yellow belongs on your second Ferrari. 4k sounds too cheap, i'd stick to the original plan and get a cobra instead. Unless your gonna get a bunch of yellow clothes like those asians and start rocking yellow framed sunglasses. Or you can check out what other drivers of yellow cars are doing right now on lemonparty.org

Nothing wrong with Yellow. I used to have a Canary Yellow 95 GT, & IMO its nice color.
Screaming Yellow, & Chrome Yellow are nice as well...

That 98 Cobra I was actually going to go look at and pick up. Then the guy called and said he had another offer and if I wanted to beat it. I was not going to start bidding so I passed. [ June 22, 2010, 03:22 AM: Message edited by: Dag302 ]

How do you know I am not asian? There are plenty of yellow cars out there that look nice in my opinion. The chrome yellow and canary yellow is much better than the zinc. I don't belive if I buy a yellow car I will be changing my wardrobe but thanks for the link. [ June 22, 2010, 03:24 AM: Message edited by: Dag302 ]

94/95 was Canary. 96-97 had no yellow at all, but 98 was Chrome Yellow. Canary Yellow & Chrome Yellow are the same color, just have a different name. Chrome yellow carried over in 99 on the new edge, but was replaced with Zinc yellow from 2000-2003. Then came Screaming Yellow in 2004.
Chrome Yellow 98 Cobra's aren't very common though, they only made 709 coupes & 555 verts. [ June 22, 2010, 03:50 AM: Message edited by: EPIK ]

a lightly modified or stock 2v wouldn't be bad for a daily driver. Maybe not the best performance platform compared to a pushrod or 4v motor. Then again I know some guys with cammed or supercharged 2v motors that run pretty good.
But that car lowered on some wheels would be a clean ride. And considering what cars you would find in the same price range that looks like a solid bet.

I'd agree with epik...zinc yellow looks like a faded version of canary/chrome yellow. My 95 gts was canary and looked tits because it was a deep and darker yellow.
Also, I'd keep looking for a 96-98 cobra if I were you. Don't fall into a 2v 4.6 if you don't have to. They suck! Unless it's a bullitt! Not sure how much you're looking to spend but I've seen a lot of cobras in the $6k range when I was shopping around. If you could spend about $7k, then you can definitley find a clean and lightly modded one. Good luck...4v ftmfw!!!!

Get a 94/95 cobra, I recently picked up one with 128k modded paint 9/10 blk interior for 5k. Had some mods on It as well already, I'm using it for my DD.

I had a 95 cobra...nice car, still fun, but I'd spend the $1000 more and experience the smoothness of the 32v If you've never had one, try it as a DD...its waaaaaay better than the 5.0

is a 99 gt the same as the 2002 gt? I bought one from my neighbor a while back, but have yet to really do anything with it.
Sorry for the hi-jack I was just curious.
DAG, not sure about the performance side of things, but I found the newer mustangs to be more comfortable than the sn95s.

When you say newer mustangs, are you referring to 05+ Mustangs? If not, the 99-04 interior is identical to that of SN95's, just with different seat upholstery, & a few minor changes with the dash??? I don't see how they can be considered any more comfy? [ June 22, 2010, 08:31 PM: Message edited by: EPIK ]
