The stock one is alright, not my favorite, but replacement is not a priority.
The S281 is a handsome wing, but even that one is a touch too big for my tastes. I like subtle.
I wonder if there is anything out there that's even smaller?
Maybe like a lip wing that you see on many of the BMWs. Not quite wingless, but something is still there.
You guys that know me, know I am a coupe guy, so I don't like body kits and wings. But then again, completely wingless on these SN95s looks like something is missing imho.
Anything else out there? [ April 12, 2010, 12:33 AM: Message edited by: Luke87GT ]

To be honest, I'd want something very simple like this:
Our 2003 540i M-package has the same wing and I love it.

Hey Luke... when I was thinking about going wingless on another build that I aborted on, I actually was thinking about getting a BMW lip like the one pictured above and was gonna try to fab it to fit an sn95 decklid. I know some of them are a flexible urethane material so you may be able to bend it to the contour of the trunk and bolt it down. If someone has a lip laying around I'd love to take on this project since my car is currently wingless

Mitch, bingo!
I think that could work assuming the quality is good. I'll look into it.
Wonder how easily I can find a laser red 96-98 wingless V6 lid?
50, that Griggs wing is handsome, but the idea for me is to get away from wings, as they are for airplanes

I think everyone on cafords should get one, lol.
Bloods red, crips blue, cafords members M3 lip wings.
I'm gonna try to find a V6 decklid that is laser red and give it a shot as a mini project.

at first I absolutely hated the wing on my `97, but I've given up caring how the car looks other than keeping it clean, lol

You know Mitch, I am definitely planning on moving forward with this.
I'll be placing an order soon. I honestly don't think it can turn out too bad given how small it is, and I am actually not a fan of the stock wing...

There is a mustang in Fremont I have seen a couple times in the parking lot across the street from Washington Hospital with this wing. It did not look like it was installed correctly or the 3m tape was coming off. I'll take a camera pic if I ever see it again.

Ya, I emailed them asking for a pic on an SN
My guess is that they pulled off a bunch of JY trunklids and mold them but do not have them on any finished car.
I'd be a guinea pig. I'm definitely concerned about the fit.
