I have 3 gas cars two gas trucks and my son has an electric truggy. If you are a beginner I would suggest you get an electric car because the gas ones require alot of patients and you have to adjust the carb etc based on the weather conditions. Truth be told the electric ones go just as fast if not fater than the gas ones. The thing about the gas ones is they sound cool lol! Try looking on craiglist. I got my used Tmaxx on there for 180 bucks. It was in great condition but the guy that bought it got it for his 7 year old and he did not know how to tune it. It had it popping wheelies at 50mph within 10 mins after i got home. they usually retail for around 400 or so. I got a BRAND NEW in the box traxxas 4 tec for 200.00 off craigslist They go for around 360.00 or so in the store. it goes about 70mph. Let me know if you have any questions.

Yea even the electric ones get irritating. I had a RC 10 that I made my own graphite chassis for. This is a expensive ass hobby too. I had a clod buster that was hella fast too.

Maybe you can lowball this guy. If everything works good it might be a good deal. I'm not sure of an OS 10 engine though. I have a n OS 18 in my hpi car. see if you can get him down to 150 or so.
