Was that a interior color option from the factory? Gray dash with white seats? I don't think that's barret jackson worthy.

If I was buying a low low low low low mileage fox I would want it more stock than it came from the factory...

To your question though, I think having a motor in the cobra may hurt it's value.

But red with black interior is helllllllllllllla rare and some people would actually like having a motor in it. So if you can find that buyer I think you can get over 10k for sure.

A car collector friend of mine was telling me a while back, that doing what you did to that engine would cheapen the car. Enthusiasts would turn their noses up, but race heads may like it. I am sure you could pull 10k for it.

I think the trends in the car enthusiast world are changing. I know that the guys who are finally getting enough money to buy the cars they always wanted in the 60-70's are doing so and now modding them out. Look at all the G-Machine cars being built and selling for gobs of money nowadays.

Just as there is a big market of buyers who want all original rides, theres also an equally big and growing market for those who want a car thats already been tastefully built. As far as im concerned if i was going to drop the coin on a 93 cobra i wouldnt want it to be as slow or high as it was from the factory. Who doesnt wish the 93 cobra came from the factory with a 347? If you had a 93 cobra R then it would be a much different story and probably lose money modding it.

As long as you have all the reciepts for the work done and the car runs well with no issues or leaks i think you will find your buyer and near your asking price.

I have no idea what a fair asking price is. I am in no need to sell so I won't be bargaining over it so if I can't sell it oh well. I'll just revamp the suspension and go for high tens than sell it.

In any market, you'd be looking at around $15...but it's tough to say, John B had his 93 up for what $17K?? and that didn't go but it was worth every penny....

you'll def get more parting it out though and putting back to stock

Selling any engine is tough right now. I've gave away a few at the prices I sold them at. I've always loved the 93 cobra but just hate the smog. If there was no smog laws I would own a hatchback or a 93 cobra but since there isn't I'll just stay with the 67's [Wink] .

If you are going to part it out make yourself a list of what you can sell at what price. Always put yourself on the low side for the parts on the list. Add them up and see if it works for you.

Anyhow good luck!
