I have a small issue with my system. My issue is with my high's and mid's. Every once in a while the highs will get a lot static for no reason. I will lower the volume a little then it will go away. Kind of seems like its over heating. Sometimes I have to turn it off for a while then turn it back on then it works fine. It usually happens when bumpin for more than 5 - 10 minutes. If the volume is low it doesn't happen. Any ideas? I'm running a 4 channel 600 watt JL audio. My subs are not affected at all.

If I have any problems I'll try to narrow it down. Start off with disconecting one of your tweets and see if it the problem goes away then work your way to the other speakers. Maybe disconect one of the RCAs. The RCAs need to be on the other side of the car not on the same side of power wire. It's not a professional opinion it's just what I'd do. I've been involved in beat since 87 and had many systems. You should be able to narrow it down to what's causing static at high volume or one of your speakers is blowing out. Hope you figure it out.

If the noise is a humming sound you could have some issues with interference from your electrical system. If it is a cracking sound then you could have a bad connection or short. what kind of speakers?

don't know the Model #'s but they are alpine. I ran the Power down driver side, RCA's down the middle under the carpet and speaker wires down pass side. It is a crackle sort of interference. It started shortly after I reinstalled my system. I took it out for a month to see if it would help out performance wise, but then drove me crazed hearing every little noise from a 15 year car. I left all the wires in place and reinstalled subs and amps, I didn't touch the high's or mid's just unplugged from the amp.
