OMG, it makes 350 ft/lbs at 1600rpm and doesn't drop at all. That's fucking cool. Imagine that "turd" on E85 and a good tune.

The SHO concept was much better looking.

But the interior of this one looks really good. I think it looks better than some luxury interiors out there now, if not at least equal to those. [patriot]

Looks like Ford is trying to step up their game.

There will be a lot of pissed fox body and 4 eyed camaro owners that get beat by a twin turbo taurus.

Just when Ford has been doing good, they had to bring back a turd and bust out the polishing compound.

Sounds like Ford built this thing to compete with the BMW 335i. I don't know how successful they are going to be.

a little i guess..i know it was basically a nicer Taurus with a Yamaha engine, manual trans, and a few other enhancements. OK car for its time i suppose.

i think this new one is the epitome of mediocrity...definitely not my cup of tea.

It's a luxury car, not a performance car...I could swear I said this before.

It wasn't built to go after M3s, SRTs or anything like that. It was designed to cut into the luxury import market. For all the bells and whistles you get in the SHO, you would have to spend $15k more to get the same things in other luxury cars. It's an absolute bargain for what you get.

The only failure is Ford's decision to call it a Taurus SHO. Case in point...half the people here think it's a performance car and the other half think it's a grocery getter. And, we are supposed to be Ford enthusiasts!! The general public will be even more confused.

BINGO! I acutally think Ford should shit can the whole Taurus name. Everyone associates that name with really bad fleet cars.

They need a new brand [patriot]

I'd have to say the original was a little bit more then "ok" no car in it's class could compete with the performance I dare you to find a good match. But like it was statted befor this new SHO is more or less a luxury car that just happens to pack a punch if performance is what you lust hennessey performance makes after market parts for the new SHO that's nuts I can't wait to see one with hennessy parts
